Meet Your Councillors event 26/07/2025

Jul 30, 2025 | Council News

Thank you to everyone who attended and took part in the Parish Councillors ‘Meet your Councillors’ community engagement event.

Some of the comments received relate to areas which are not within the responsibility of the Parish Council.  The Parish Council can assist with signposting, online reporting and lobbying for change and in some cases, subject to budget (such as highway improvements) can fund towards projects.

We will be collating the responses received from the ‘Ideas and Suggestions For Your Village of Millbrook‘ boxes and ‘What’s Important to our Community’ boards.

Parishioners also have the opportunity to complete their feedback by visiting the Council office in the village hall or attending the Millbrook Meet up on Friday mornings.

Some of the proposals / ideas the Council is considering and asking for your feedback are detailed below:

Car Park Fees see extract from the Parish Council newsletter.

West Street Car Park consultation – April 2024.
Extract from the Full Parish Council meeting held on 21st January 2025.  Minute 147.2 Millbrook Parish Council budget 2025-26 The Chair informed the Council that the committee had met and reviewed the budget line by line. An estimate of nearly £96,000 had been received to resurface the village hall and West Street car parks. With this in mind the Council needs to build up traffic and transport (to include car parks) reserves.

Sports Facilities (Tennis Courts and Basketball)

Do you use the tennis courts?  If so, how often?
Subject to funding, what would you change?
Subject to funding, do you think it is a good idea to have a basketball hoop put up for children to practice shooting hoops?  If so, where would you suggest would be the best location?
Have you any other suggestions?
