I regret that D&C HA bought land knowing that it would add to serious traffic issues for the residents of this Village – for drivers of private cars service buses and deliveries.
The location is on what in effect is a cul-de-sac, running from the East end of New Road till it reaches the sea shore of the Hamoaze. This purchase – when other land was available – demonstrates a failure to understand the issues it would raise.
The current developers would need to understand – where D&C HA failed – that the expanding estate must have A SAFE WALKING ROUTE out from the estate toward the play park, the expanded skateboard area, the football pitch and the open park-land.
I would want to see a COMMITTMENT from LiveWest, PRIOR TO ANY WORKS, that this will be DELIVERED.
