Jul 7, 2025 | Community News, Cornwall Council, Council News

A request to Cormac was made for an update to include specific details on the new design of the warning signs/traffic control system to be installed either side of Millbrook ‘Narrows’ (West Street/Hounster Hill/B3247). Please see the response received below:

Dear Karenza,

The majority of responses received during consultation were supportive with many suggestive comments. Following consultation and the onsite trial the location of the proposed warning sign was agreed to be placed on the nearside footway, subject to utility trial pit search at time of construction.  Following the consultation and discussion with Safety Team and Department for Transport, the VAS (Vehicle Activated Sign) will display the standard warning sign, triangle sign with road narrows image. This was agreed the appropriate sign along with standard wording On coming vehicles in middle of road.  Image below.

I understand the works are planned for after the summer holidays but I am sure Adam will be able to advise on this.

Many thanks,
