In 2022, Transport for Cornwall (a partnership consisting of bus and rail operators and Cornwall Council) implemented a HM Government funded four-year scheme to reduce bus fares significantly, reducing prices on average by 33%. The aim of the scheme to make bus travel more sustainable for residents of Cornwall, gradually increasing the price as the scheme progressed. We continually monitor the usage of the tickets offered to ensure that the products offered reflect what the majority of our customers need, we occasionally look to remove products from sale. The recent review has included the removal of 5-day bundles, monthly tickets and the family weekly ticket as all 13 products amounted to less than 1% of all tickets sold. We have had to increase the remaining products offered to ensure that we can continue to provide a subsidy for our customers, for as long as possible, while this limited fund is reducing.

We are in continued conversations with HM Government to look at ways that we can improve the landscape of bus travel in Cornwall, discussing both short and long term measures. In the interim, we can assure that the following is still in place:
