West Street Car Park – New Payment Terminal Installation

During the full council meeting held on the 17th March 2026, the Council unanimously agreed to replace the current car park payment machine.

174.4 Car Park machine / terminal replacement
The Council reviewed the quotations from IPS and Strada for a replacement car park machine. The Clerk showed the Council images showing the condition of current machine, which is approximately 20 years old. The Council resolved to approve the quotation from IPS, of £4,660 for the supply, installation and delivery of a new replacement car park machine. Additionally, there would be a £20.00 per month data management fee. The machine comes with the option of accepting both card and cash payments and with one-year warranty but after that you have to buy a Service level agreement which is £409.50 per annum for silver level – 16 hours response, or, £556.50 per annum for gold level – 12 Hours response. Proposed Cllr Wood. Seconded Cllr Moorey. Unanimous.

Millbrook Parish Council have taken delivery of a new payment terminal, which is being installed in West Street Car Park on Wednesday 13th May.

During installation it will not be possible to make cash payments, but the Just Park and Buzzpay/FindParkPay Apps will not be affected.

Once installed, the new machine will be fully functional, offering cash and card payments as well as the Just Park and Buzzpay/FindParkPay Apps.
