Dear All,
I am forwarding the latest Transport Focus Newsletter and I am also attaching below our National Express Coaches Leaflet (updated) of coaches that call locally at Tideford, Landrake & Liskeard. and the frequent Falcon Bus Service that operates between Plymouth Coach Station & Bristol Airport & City Centre.
We are concerned that very little if any information about long distance coach travel is now shown in local timetables as used to be the case when Cornwall Council Timetables included not only National Express Coach Timetable Information, but also local train, and ferry timetable information, but this ceased after 2019 with the Pandemic and has not been restored. Although National Express only operated a limited service during the Pandemic, they have been back running the same regular service in Cornwall or over two years. There are now we believe an increasing number of people who cannot afford Rail travel who need to be made aware of what coach services are available for them to visit relatives etc in various parts of the UK , and we feel that it is certainly within our remit and duty to help them as much as we can. Although it is true that you may lose a bus or coach service if you do not use them it is also true that you need first of all to know that such a service exists. It should perhaps be noted that the only way to travel direct to Heathrow Airport by Public Transport, without changing is by using N.E. Coaches and that they can also be used for travel within Cornwall.
When I was out walking today I was approached separately by two local residents about our local bus service and I was able to direct them to the telephone information kiosk where they were both very pleased to pick up copies of the increasingly popular Tamar Connections Bus Timetable.
Best regards,
Geoff.

Geoff thanks as ever for bringing this for wider attention (I am one who cannot consider using rail unless absolutely essential
