Cormac Solutions Ltd on behalf of Cornwall Council is inviting comments on a proposal
to implement a pedestrian crossing feature on St John’s Road, Millbrook.

The proposals intend to reduce vehicle speeds and increasing visibility by introducing a
build-out and restricting parking on St John’s Road. Drivers will have to give way to
oncoming traffic from the west to east direction. The proposal includes a new pedestrian
crossing, road markings and double yellow lines.

Comments to be submitted by 15th November 2023

To respond to this consultation, you can either:
1. Use Cornwall Council’s Consultation finder, an on-line facility for viewing and
responding to traffic consultations. This can be accessed by visiting
www.cornwall.gov.uk/TrafficConsult. Once registered you will be able to submit
responses to this and other current traffic consultations.

2. E-mail Infrastructure Design at traffic@cormacltd.co.uk, quoting the scheme
name and reference, and indicating your support or objection to the proposals.

    I object to the proposed scheme for the following reasons
    loss of parking for residents, I believe the displaced vehicles will cause problems close by.
    I do not believe the parking restrictions will deter parents parking to drop off/pick up children as enforcement at those times may not be feasible
    By giving priority to vehicles traveling from Southdown road it’s likely to encourage greater speed.
