St Johns Close

St John’s Road, Millbrook
Pedestrian Crossing

Cormac Solutions Ltd on behalf of Cornwall Council is inviting comments on a proposal
to implement a pedestrian crossing feature on St John’s Road, Millbrook.

The proposals intend to reduce vehicle speeds and increasing visibility by introducing a
build-out and restricting parking on St John’s Road. Drivers will have to give way to
oncoming traffic from the west to east direction. The proposal includes a new pedestrian

I object to the proposed scheme for the following reasons
loss of parking for residents, I believe the displaced vehicles will cause problems close by.
I do not believe the parking restrictions will deter parents parking to drop off/pick up children as enforcement at those times may not be feasible
By giving priority to vehicles traveling from Southdown road it’s likely to encourage greater speed.
