Statement from the Chair of Millbrook Parish Council
“It is with great pleasure the Council is able to announce the appointment of a contractor for the Design and Build to give Millbrook a much-needed concrete skatepark. The appointed contractor, selected after a rigorous scoring process and ratified by the Council in an Extraordinary Meeting yesterday evening, is Maverick Industries Limited.
I was delighted to be part of the Tender Review Panel, and would like to thank all the other panel members, and everyone who has been involved in the process so far. It’s wonderful to see the amount of effort that has already gone into the fundraising to date, and the enthusiasm of young and old for this huge task. There is still a great deal to do, and the Millbrook Skatepark Project team will be liaising with the contractor and the Council to consult the community and take the project forward.”
