GWR – Boardmasters and Falmouth week : 11/08/21 to 16/08/21

Email received from Great Western Railway

We will be making some changes to rail services from Wednesday 11 August through to Monday 16 August to support both Falmouth Week and Boardmasters.

This will mean some changes to local services.  We have issued media releases and have full details of the changes on our website https://www.gwr.com/travel-information/travel-updates/boardmasters-festival and on station posters, and we will also be making announcements on board trains to remind customers to check the timetable.  We have also issued reminders to customers travelling to Boardmasters that they must have seat reservations.

We want both Falmouth Week and Boardmasters to go brilliantly and to show Cornwall at its finest.  We also recognise the importance of maintaining a robust service for our regular customers, and for visitors not attending the festivals.  We are grateful to Crosscountry Trains who have added some extra stops on key morning services on Monday 16 August when we expect passenger numbers to be at their highest, and we hope that between us we have the balance right.

Our focus now is ensuring that our customers know of the changes and any help you can give us in alerting them will be very gratefully received. Please do feel free to share the webpage https://www.gwr.com/travel-information/travel-updates/boardmasters-festival and do let me know if you have any questions or queries.

Best wishes

Jane
