Middle Lane & Dawes Lane Surface Reporting

Aug 11, 2026 | Community News, Parish Council News

In April 2026 Millbrook Parish Council reported the uneven surfaces in both Dawes Lane and Middle Lane. Cornwall Highways acknowledged that the surfaces were ‘clearly prone to failing’, and suggested that both areas might benefit from a treatment called Elastomac laid over the top of the existing surface to seal the areas. Millbrook Parish Council continues to chase Cornwall Highways regarding this. Please see below their latest response:

Hi Karenza,

It’s on the list for Elastomac, which will resurface over the area. I do ni=ot manage this process or the teams that undertake the resurfacing – I have asked for this to be a priority.

I agree the site is rough, but its certainly not triggering our safety defect process at the moment.

Kind regards,
